Updated May 31, 2005
| About Our Family Research |
|
This is a Work in progress. Corrections and additions are welcome. This page contains the tree of my husband, the Meentzen family of Bremen, Germany. There tree has been professionally assembled and dates to the 1400's. I have a hard bound copy of the book ANHINLISTE MEENTZEN. The real work is taking place on Bowles,Strickling,Baker,Burr;Tucker,Backenstoe, VanAken, McMillen; as well as Whitacre ,Winland,Bigley,Timmons ,Triplett and Gilham. Many of my ancestors have been in America since the 1660's. The newest additions to this country are the Bowles's who arrived in 1855 from England, and of course the Meentzen line in 1980. I would like to hear from others researching these lines and as of May 2005 we will have results posted on the Bowles DNA project through Family Tree DNA.
