Subject: Winslett Family Reunion Possibility
To all members of the Winslett Family,
My name is Tina Meehan Meulpolder. I am the daughter of Carol Ann Winslett (Rivas) and the Grandaughter of Loyce and Marion Winslett.
My Grandfathers father was William Winslett and his mother was Grace Winslett. My Granfathers brother was Troy Winslett.
I have done geneological research that shows Charity Hite(?) and William Winslett were my great great great grandparents in Union Parish, Louisiana but cannot seem to go any further back with actual facts, but I do have a feeling that somehow there is a link to the Winslett brothers that came from England, Just can't find the missing link.
I just wanted to throw this idea out there to see how many Winslett family and friends would be interested in possibly creating a family Reunion sometime this year in California.
There is a lot of family out there that I have heard about in Texas and California, but have never met. I have cousins and other relatives that I have no clue about.
I would really love to have a chance to meet you all.
If you possibly can forward this email to family members that would be great.
Please email me with family connection and contact information if possible and I will start a list.
I would love to be able to put together a family tree for all to have with pictures and pertinent information so if you wouldn't mid attaching a family photo that would be great.
I will iron out details after I see how much interest this sparks.
If you would like to add your name and email or any other info to the list below for other lost family members to see who is out there.
Thanks so much!

Here is the Family History as I am sorting through it.....
My Grandfather was Loyce Winslett.
His father was William Richard Winslett (Willie)
Willies father was William Carson Winslett.
I am searching for any information on the families of
I belive that that Johnathon Winslett b.abt 1799, England, d. before 1880, Putnam Co. Georgia),
(son or brother? Ive seen both)
of Samuel Winslett (b. 1750 England d. 1829 Green Co., Georgia)
who was married to
Mary Carson (b. 1754, Wrightsboro, Green Co. Georgia d. WFT Est. 1801-1849 Green Co, Georgia)
might have been the parents or grandparents of William Carson Winslett (b. 1859) but have not found a paper trail yet.
Samuel would have been approx, 109 years old at time of William's birth if he was still alive and
Johnathon was 60 years old when William was born.
Seaborn G. Winslett (b. Nov. 19, 1819, Alabama d.Nov 18, 1875 Alabama at the age of 56 years) and Adeline Batchelor (b. abt. 1824 Putnam co. GA d. after 1867) seem more likely to have been Williams parents
It is interesting that Mary's last name and Williams' middle name are both Carson. Mary would have been his grandmother.
Seaborn would have been 40 years old and Adeline would have been Approx. 35. Seems a little old for those days but that is maybe why he is not connected anywhere on the family trees I have seen. There was a child of Seaborn & Adeline listed though, named David Whitfield Winslett(e) (b.1851 d.1920). It might have been that children did not come easily to them. David was born and then 8 years later William?
The places of birth and residence all seem to share some connections as Georgia , Alabama, Lousiana, and later
