John Mathews had a daughter, Mary and a son, John, plus many more children by at least two wives. Mary, his daughter, is my great-grandmother. We are looking for more information on the Mathews/Matthews family.

Samuel Patterson Boles was born Dec. 15, 1817 in Scott Co. IN and died June 8, 1898 in Kiowa Co. Kansas. He and Elizabeth Hamacher married Sept 5 1838 in Scott Co. IN. She was born on Dec. 12, 1822 in Scott Co. IN. and died March 25, 1895 in Kiowa County, Kansas. They are both buried in the Boles Cemetery near Wellsford, Kansas. Their children are James Riley, William Henry, Mary Jane,Edward N., John Cortland, and Oliver P. Morton. Also Harriet, Allen, Samuel, Minerva, Anna, and Charles who all died before marriageable age.
