Hi Folks.
My Grandmother, Emma McCormick, married my Grandfather, Austin Merry. My Grandmother's parents were Hugh McCormick and Martha McMaster.
My Grandfather's parents were Harriet Smith and John Merry.
My Parents are Hugh Merry and Edeane Smith (No Relation).
It is my Grandmother's family that I have found to be of interest. Only recently has it come to my attention that my physical attributes most resemble that of my Grandmother's Mother's McMaster line.
I also reside in the Kingston , Ontario region and have found the area rich with information on this line of the family.
Martha McMaster was born of William McMaster and Mary Blake.
William's parents were Joseph McMaster and Dorothea Laidlaw.
Mary Blake's parents were Mary Ann Walsh and Francis Blake.
All of these people came from the North of Ireland and settled in the Kingston region.
My Great Grandfather, Hugh McCormick was from South End Argyll - Scotland. His parents were from County Down in Ireland.
The parent's I speak of are William McCormick and Eliza Beggs.
With just the people I have committed to print in this introduction, I could fill volumes on info about their offspring.
