"MRS. MARGARET I. HAYES -
Mrs. Margaret I. (Belle) Hayes, 84, of 519 1/2 Pine Street, died at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 1972, in the Divine Providence Hospital. She was the widow of Thomas R. Hayes. The daughter of James and Anne Moore Bowen, she was born Oct. 22, 1887 in Madera, Clearfield County. Mrs. Hayes had been a seafood cook at many restaurants in the city. She was most recently employed at Helmrich Bros. and retired in 1968 after becoming ill. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church. Surviving are two daughters and a son. Mrs. Jeanette Moore, Mrs. Hazel Simon and Melvin R. Hayes, all of this city, two brothers, Willard Bowen of Tionesta, and James Bowen, of Cleveland, Tenn; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nolls, 1 East Central Avenue, South Williamsport, with the Rev. Leon L Love, pastor of St. Mary's Episcopal church, officiating. Burrial will be in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight.
