Andrew Jackson a son of Jacob, was born in Pleasant Plains, Ill, Feb. 12, 1853 and came by wagon to Kansas at age seven, with his father, Jacob and his grandfather, John and a host of other relatives. in 1874., he joined the Seventh Day Adventists Church, having been a Lutheran, On June 25, 1875 he was married to Sarah Katherine Adams, the daughter of John M. Adams and Tempy (Swing) Adams. Andre ran a store, worked on the railroad as a pumpman, and worked for some time as a blacksmith, and as a farmer. Andrew and Sarah had three daughters, Mrs. J. E. (Metzger) Blair of Topeka. Mrs. Emma (Metzger) Patterson and Mrs. Eva (Metzger) Behner, and two sons, Charles and Manford. Andrew died of a ceribal hemorrhage on April 18, 1914 at Willard and was buried in Dover. Sarah passed away at Willard, on a Saturday morning. in Jan. 1930.
