I have been researching the Rippeto side of my family for a little over 10 years and have verified information back to my great great grandfather, John T. Rippeto who was born in Fayette County, Kentucky in 1828. Also have information linking him to William Rippeto as being John's father. William was born in 1794 in Albemarle County, Virginia. William was married to Rachel Stone in Albernale County, VA on December 21, 1824. They had three children. John T. Rippeto was married to Matilda Jane Sapp December 15, 1847 in Columbia, Boone County, MO. They had 12 children, one which was my great grandfather, John Samuel Rippeto, who was born in Wilton, Boone County, MO. He married Sarah (Sallie) Ann Hagans November 25, 1875 in Wilton, Boone CO, MO. John Samuel (Sammy) lived to be a little over 102 years old. I remember going to his 100th birthday celebration at Goshen Church in Wilton, MO. "Sammy" and "Sallie" had 4 children, one which was my grandfather, Nathan Glascow Rippeto who was born in Wilton, Boone County, MO in 1881, He married Myrtis Ethel Glascock March 18, 1903 in Wilton, Boone County, MO. They had 14 children, 3 died as children. The rest all lived to adulthood, married and had families. The oldest of the children was my father, Delphus Earl Rippeto, born Dec, 1903, in Wilton, MO. He married Mary Beatrice Cain Febuary 4, 1934, in Fulton, Callaway County, MO, where they lived their entire married life. They had two children, one being myself, Carol.
The Rippeto Family continues to have a Family Reunion every summer .
