The following information is listed in an old family bible. Grandfather- John William Meyer,born 9/26/1879 in McClennon County Texas.Died 2-10-1944,in Abilene. He was the son of Henry Earnest Meyer and Emily Connally Meyer.He married Minnie Stockton Meyer,born 8/31/1886 in Taylor County, daughter of Fannie and W.B.Stockton.John and Minnie Meyer had six daughters, and two sons. Jewell,Dec.14,1907. Ruby,Aug.31,1910. Opal,Aug.31,1912. Onyx Sept.25,1914. Garnet,June5,1916. Pearl,Dec.1,1919. John Jr. Nov.1,1921. Eva Mae,Feb.22,1924. Henry Earnest Jr. Feb.2,1927. Pearl is the only living descendant.She beat breast cancer as a young woman. She is 81,currently residing in a nursing home in Kerville,Tx. Jewell died of cancer of the esophogus, John,brain cancer, and Henry,lung cancer. Onyx drowned. Garnet,Eva Mae, and Ruby died of a rare nerve disease,Hopkins Chorea, in their later years.
