Some of the ones I know the most about are the Meyer, Tuente, Luebke, Brackman, Steinke, Winner, Hoyng, Reineke, Fisher, Schneider, Schnippel, and Bruns families. Most of my ancestors were from Germany in the regions of Oldenburg, Westfallen, Wurrtenburg, and Bavaria. Most emmigrated between 1831 and 1890. Most were also farmers. They arived in New york and Baltimore. Baltimore was the most common route in the 1830's and 1840's. They took the Ohio River to Cincinatti, Ohio and then followed the Miami River North until it met up with the Miami Erie Canal. They eventualy settled in towns like Minster, Egypt, St. Rose, Maria Stein, and Fryburg. They helped build the churches, they farmed the land, and raised large families. There desendants are in the hundreds to even thousands.
