I am researching the Peters family - Sylvia Peters born S.D. . Married in the fourties. She grew up at Pennington county, Mn. She had a twin Sybella, who died about six months old. She had other siblings. .. . The fathere was William and his father was Herman or Harmon from Effingham county, Illinois. His wife was Baracum or Barcom.
Sylvia Peters married Dwight Meyer at Watonwan county Mn. About Jan 28, 1946. Dwight Meyer descended from Herman H. Meyer born 1881. He md. Anna Seil. I am researching her family of Korn, Brookman, Schmidt coming from the nearly the same area as Meyer family in germany and iowa. . His parents -Juergen Heinrich Wilhelm Meyer first located at Lohrville after immigration from Oldendorf/ Nahrendorf Prussia [1884 ]. Living there four years and then moving on to their own place in Iowa.. Juergen Heirnich Wilhelm Meyer. Grandpa Willy or Billy. He lived through the war at Metz through typhoid fever and all other hardships associated with the wars. . Released around 1870. He Md. In 1873 to Maria Dorothea Heins.[ Heinz] Her family was from Kreutzen near Munster, Celle. Her mother was a Henke.
The Heins family go back to Suelze, Wardbohmen, Nindorf, Siddernhausen,Diesten, and other villages in that surrounding area, Kries Celle to about early 1700's. From Bergen church region of Celle.
The great grandfather - Juergen Heinrich Freidrich Meyer born at Neetzendorf. He married Catharina Margaretha Luhmann at Eichdorf. This is by Dahlenburg. He did have two or three living brothers and one sister. I have no further information on them other than their birth and babtism information. Except for the third brother, if he did exist.Juergen Friedrich came from shepherd heritage. In 1845 he was a landowner at Oldendorf and was game warden at Roethen in der Goehrde. Roethen is associated with Dannenburg. He was a game warden at that residence. He died about 1879. He may have remarried.? Catharina Margaretha died 1856. Buried at Nahrendorf.

The great great grandfathr- Johann Juergen Meyer born 1772 was a shepherd from Radenbeck, church district Thomasburg. No informtion on Radenbeck Meyer or maternal side.
