I am married to John Alexander Mikita and have one daughter Theresa Ann( Mikita)Lepiane. She is married to Dr. Richard Lepiane and they have four children,three girls, Mary Agnes, Isabelle Ann, Elizabeth Susan, and a boy Vincent Joseph who they adopted from Russia.
I have just started to research my family history. I have contacted relatives , sent for birth and death certificates, and found many things on the internet,however, since my fraternal grandparents were divorsed before I was born , I know very little about the Bixby side of the family.
On the maternal side I have information about, my Grandfather(Herman Leroy Allshouse), but I have absolutely nothing about my grandmother,(Hattie Catherine Johns) except That she was buried in the old John,s cemetery in Clara Vesta, PA in 1931. I do not know where Clara Vesta is. I can't find it on any maps. Grandma Hattie died before I was Born and my grandfather remarried shortly after her death.
My mother's side of our family has a family reunion every year in July
My father was Joseph Calvin Bixby Jr.
My mother was Ruby Arwilda (Allshouse)Bixby
I have one brother Joseph Calvin Bixby The Third
And one brother Arther Leroy Bixby, who died in 1936
