Mordecai Yonah MOYEL was born 1791 in Torchin/Torczyn which then was in Russian-Poland & today in the Ukraine. Working with several family members in Canada, United States, Israel & the Ukraine we have been able to collect & organize material about this family. My Great-grand-father came to America in 1906 & was met at the boat in New York by other family members who had arrived before & were then living in CT. Without the records & oral history & the search for the only 14 survivors of the village this story would not be possible. As files & records become more available with advanced technology further information will contiued to be added by others in all directions of this family line.
