John Philip Boehm (1683-1749), founder of the German Reformed Church in Pennsylvania; Adam Lugar (1738-1837), Hessian deserter and Revolutionary War soldier in Count Pulaski's Legion; George Lynch (1748-1821), immigrant from Ireland and Revolutionary War soldier in the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Militia; William Absalom Harless (1830-1894), Union soldier in the 7th West Virginia Cavalry; Philip O. Harless (1760-1849), Revolutionary War soldier in the Botetourt County, Virginia Militia; James Morrison (1761-1858), Revolutionary War soldier in the Berkeley County, Virginia Militia; and William Hanson (1753-1824), Revolutionary War soldier in the 7th Virginia Regiment from 1776-1778, and a participant in the Battle of Point Pleasant on October 10, 1774.
