My family name include MORITA, LACKEY.LEVI, WOODS, HODGES,OLINGERS, MOSS, McKNIGHT, McCULLOUGH, HACKNEY, LEIR,
and many more, some researched back to Germany, Scotland and
Ireland. these are with the exception of the Morita family all
from TN, AL and MS.
I am working on a Hodges/ Woods family of Alabama/Mississippi reunion for summer
of 2003. It is still in the early stages as of now and I am a
panel of one.
My ancestors include many farmers, some riverboat workers,
miners from the AL coal mines and a multitude of hard working,
solid citizens and family people , a few rounders and a couple downright bad apples.
My research has been mostly on genealogy sites on the net and mesage boards have connected me this past year with six long lost cousins that I grew up with then lost touch with.
I have recieved great help from many people along the way who were kind enough to share their hard gained info and also suggestions on different places to search.
