My older sister Susan E. Murry Salley called me one night and asked me a question about one of our grandparents. "My grandfather I believe". Well that got the ball rolling. She informed me that she was doing our family tree and all the information she had gathered. I told her I had some old family Bibles and "Wow" what all we were able to find in them. Names,dates,paper clippings and a poem that my great grandmother "Alzada"Allie" Azbill Rush liked and had saved in her Bible.

I USED TO THINK I RATED HIGH
IN THAT I KNEW A LOT
IF I WAS RIGHT,I'D HATE TO TRY
RECALLING NOW,ALL I FORGOT

We both laughed when I realized she had scratched out the authors
name and wrote her own in its place.....

I remember the day she died, it was on my 7th birthday 1967 and I heard my mother "Allie Sue Moore Murry" talking on the phone.
