I am David Morris, one of 27/28(?) grandchildren of Samuel & Amelia Gridley (nee Whiffen) of 5 Ruby Street, Old Kent Road, London, England. Whilst I was not first born granchild (about 5 I think) my mother was first born child.

With one exception all of the grandchildren were still vertical when last checked but we have lost 7 of the 13 original children and Nan & Grandad.

I am in touch with Steve Gridley, a cousin from another family branch back in the late 18/early 1900's who is putting together his information.

I have also recently been contacted by Maggie Jackson who is the Grandaughter of my Grandmothers brother and am hopefully now going to extend in that direction.

It is vital that we record this for the future.
