As a history major, I believe that it is my duty to record the story of my/our family origins for future generations. Throughout my childhood my parents, especially my mother, would recount her precious memories and personal tradegies. I especially enjoyed the story regarding the founding of the first Mexican city, Tenochtitlan. She would then continue her monologue detailing different family histories and individuals.
