I am researching the descendants of Hammond Morris my ggggrandfather. He was b 1733 in Reedy Branch, Farnham Parish, Richmond County VA. He was the son of Edward & Elizabeth Hammond Morris. He married Mary (Tuttle)Brown, widow of Manly Brown. They had 9 children. William, Jesse, & Travis were born in North Farnham Parish, Richmnd County, VA. Thomas, Elizabeth, John, Hammond Jr, Shadrick(my ggGrndf),& Presley were born in Prince William County, VA.
In April 1778 Hammond & Mary requested a letter from there Church "because of moving their residence". The next record of Hammond was in 1779 for a land grant on Red Bank Creek, Surry County, NC. I am very interested in locating any descendants of Hammond Morris. If you have any information please feel free to contact me. I am willing to share what information I have.
