We would like to hear from anyone who is either related to our family or knows of members still in Britain.
Gerry's parents were JEREMIAH and HENRIETTA GERVAISE MORRIS of Liverpool, England. Jeremiah was born, probably in Dublin, April 21, 1875 and his parents were ROBERT AND ELIZABETH MORRIS. Henrietta's parents were PATRICK and SARAH MURPHY, nee McKENZIE. Sarah's family probably lived in GRENNOCK, SCOTLAND. Jeremiah & Henrietta immigrated to Canada in 1910 with their six year-old son DONALD. Gerry was born at Cowichan Station, Vancouver Island in British Columbia October 7, 1911.
Janet's parents were LESLIE BRICE AND CICELY MARGARET ENGLEFIELD (nee SINDEN). They were married at St. Mary the Virgin parish church in Battle, Sussex, England.
Leslie was born July 3, 1908 in Congleton, Cheshire and Cicely was born May 21, 1906 in Battle, Sussex.
Leslie's parents were George Alfred and Louisa Esther Englefield (nee WOOD) and they were married on August 28, 1907 in Swettenham, England.
George Alfred's parents, BRICE and ELIZABETH ENGLEFIELD were married on January 2, 1878, probably in Macclesfield. Brice's father was JAMES, a sawyer.
Elizabeth's parents were GEORGE and ALICE KORDIAN. He was born in Germany and became a butler in the home of a German baron. Alice was probably born in Wales and somehow found her way to Germany where she obtained a job of housekeeper for the same baron. They married and their daughter Elizabeth was born in Boulogne, France in 1857. Eventually the family moved to northern England where Alice's parents were business people in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
Louisa was born March 7, 1880 and her parents were THOMAS and ELIZA WOOD, (nee FINNEY)
Cicely Englefield's parents were JOHN and MARY ELIZABETH SINDEN of Battle, Sussex.
John was born December 3, 1879 in Battle, Sussex and 'Lizzie' was born in Buckinghamshire, January 20, 1876.
John's parents were RICHARD and MATILDA SINDEN who were married at Battle Church January 29, 1876. Richard was a sawyer like his father JOHN.
Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sinden's parents were GEORGE and SELINA VARNEY. Her maiden name was also VARNEY, distant cousins? George died in 1877. Selina's parents were WILLIAM and ELIZABETH VARNEY, (nee JOHNSON).
