The Forrest A. Mows of CaliforniaUpdated August 14, 2002 |
We're hopeful in our research because we have interesting names in our background. We pick up the Mow branch in Colorado, along with the de Giffords, the Millers, and others. Forrest's father was named Richard Leroy and Forrest's mother was Sarah Miller. His grandfather was James Alfred Mow. My father was an Irishman named John A. Lee, born in Fall River, Massachusetts. His family came over from Ireland. His father was also named John and he married Margaret McCormick. Aside from John, they had Clarence, Irene, and Hildred. My mother's maiden name was Toon, she was a daughter of Samuel E. Toon. Her name was Ruby and she had a twin Ruth, and she was born in Nacogdoches, Texas. There were numeous other children, Clyde, Kirby, Rade, Bonnie, Mary Belle, Mattye Belle, and Bessie. My maternal grandmother died when my mother and her twin were about six months old. Her name was Jesse Willie Belew. We hope that these names will ring some bells out there!! Send us a note if anything sounds familiar. Thanks. |
