Hello,
I started this process 1 hour ago on 8/3/2006, so there's not much to tell (hopefully, we can help one another).
I was (am) my Dad's youngest son Dino. If anyone reading this knew him as "FUZZY", you,ve got the right family. My Brother John (still living)born 1n 9/53, and my sister Karen (also still with us, born 2/55), and my mom was known as Kay, but her full name was Kathleen.
Our other great and colorful family in California (mostly Riverside) were Nana (Carolina Delia) who was my hero, had all the love in the world, but with an angel's patience and love for the grandkids, if one of her adult children goofed up, arrange the services. Hopefully, if you're reading this, you are a long lost beloved relative. And if you are, Uncle Levy "MOO" (sorry, but they will always Aunts and Uncles). Of course, Knowing my New York family would be down to cousins, and they'd be your's also. There was dear Aunt Mit (Matilda) Dodge and her son Eddie, who was a great guy (a little wild, but) As my cousin, he was older than my mom, but we still got in trouble together. Aunt Mit also had a daughter Betty (might be Elizabeth)but was a doll. They had 2 or 3 kids each, but my brain a'int what it once was. My Favorite was Uncle Oscar, the REALLY fun one, usually being chased by NaNa with a BIG spoon (or pitchfork). All Great people. Since my Dad died when I was 13, and my mom got sick, ultimately succumbing to Cancer, I joined the Army 1974 (and they said Vietnam was over, I was within 15 minutes of being airlifted into Cambodia at 18... but I lucked out. I hope The rest of the family was as lucky. I remember Uncle Alty (wonderful man...looked just like my Dad, who by the way I look just like). Uncle Bill I met twice I think, but sadly, I was never able to make a trip to NY with my Dad, but he sure had stories.
Well, if you read this entire diatribe, we must be related. Otherwise, you need to get a life like me. I hope we are family. It'd be great to talk and get to know you and your whole branch of the tree.
Take care, Dino
