My youngest Family memories are of my grandfather Mose Mullen of Newland North Carolina, and my grandmother Roberta Mullen. They owned one of the largest black farms in Elizabeth City. My father Bennie Mullen was my hero as a child, although his life was terminated when I was nine. My father was a hard worker of many years in the lumber industry. At this time we are not a very close family but I love every Mullen with all my heart.
