Looking for specific information on Surnames Mullen, Hurley, O'Malley, Ferguson residing or moving to Michigan,

Most unusually the name O'Malley was either adopted by my grandmother in her early teens when staying with a family in New York. Her birth recored were burned up in the fire in NY court house and destroyed. her mother was Loiuse Peck and I know nothing about this line of my family. She said she was all Irish and then said she was Mohawk Indian and lied about her age and last name so often it is difficult to trace anything aobut her.
