JOHN MUMFORD b. December 19th 1843 - twin - father was William Henry Mumford b.1811, mother was Catherine Cooper ( Byford ) b.1813 in North Shoebury, Essex, England (Catherine was born to a Ms Cooper, who had a relationship with Robert Byford, while his wife was still alive. Catherine used her mother's name when marrying William Henry Mumford.) Trying to locate John’s twin.
JOHN MUMFORD licensed badger (purveyor of foodstuffs) in Ramsden Cray, Essex, England in 1767, possibly licensee of The Fox PH at Gt Burstead, Essex in 1772 , married Elizabeth Penny (nee Saward) June 17, 1777 Hadleigh, Essex, England. They had a son JOHN MUMFORD b. November 29, 1777. Was he their only child of what was the second marriage for both John senior, and Elizabeth?
