Muncey/Muncy Name of the Sandy River Area

Updated February 11, 2012

About Our Family Research

A warm thought to all who read this page. I am David E. Muncey, son of Dana Herbert Muncey and Genevieve Butcher. My e-mail is Davidemuncey@hotmail.com and welcome any information that may be provided. This information will be availabe to everyone who can use some help and hope it provides a warm to the heart experience. Many have asked the question of why the different spelling? I beleive the answer is a simple one! As many of you know, back in the old days our census was completed at home by a census taker/recorder who came knocking on the door. I have seen the same family listed in a different census, but with the "e" dropped or added. The census recorder for the area, I beleive, are the one's who did it! As you look through your records you my see the same results. Look at the name of the census taker!! You may see the pattern also. Thanks to all and if you see a mistake on here, please let me know so a correction can be made. So Mote It Be, David Muncey.
