Ernie Robison wrote others asking what they knew about Martha Monks. Here are their responses: Matt Grow replied, I have a vague recollection that she had possibly left Parley. I'm fairly certain this recollection, if correct, was gained while I was working with Steve on Parley's letters, and that he had some documentation on her. So, I'd recommend following up with Steve. Stephen Pratt replied, She left Parley in 1850 and probably went to California. In his Family Record herelates this. Once I publish will copy that part of the record. Will give you more info soon. Now it is Ernie again, I guess that means that we do not have to worry about a gravesite or marker for her. David, if it is not already documented in the official genealogy we need to document Marthaadhered to back then. If she did not get a divorce, do we check the box divorced in PAF. My vote is yes with a note documenting what Parley wrote about it. But my vote will gladly defer to more expert genealogical minds.
