The extent of my research will entail finding, first of all, the true origins of my line of the Musick family. Also I would like to find my Great-grandmother Musick's father's family the Hawkins; and her mother, Sarah Ann (Waddle)Hawkins' family (ie) the Waddles. My grandmother Musick was Janie Pearl Chadwick, her dad was Jacob Franklin Chadwick, born April 2, 1861 in Buncombe, Co. N.C. Her Mother was Amanda Ella Springfield, daughter of Bennett Springfield and Emma Jones, born May 15/16, 1867. They were married at or near Springplace, Murry Co., Ga. Nov. 7, 1880. My great grandfather Musick was Jasper Musick born Nov. 22, 1862 in Bibb Co., near Macon, Ga. G-grandma Musick was Alice Beatrice Hawkins born Aug. 31, 1868 in Alabama near the Ga. line. They were married around 1887. My mother was a Smith, from Smith Co. Tx. Her dad was Russell William Smith and his dad was James Aaron Smith. There were 7 Smith brothers that came to East Texas from Cullman, Ala. in the late 1880's or early 1890's. James married Berta Barnett. I am very interested in the Barnetts of East Texas as Berta died in 1910 and was virtually forgotten. My mother's mother was a Jones, from Edgewood/Fruitvale, Van Zandt Co., Texas. My g-grandpa Jones was Hamilton Jones. He married Emma Grant an orphan from Buckner Orphanage in Dallas. She was from Ill. Her father was Aldolphus B. Grant and her mother was Sarah Hanks. They were killed in Ill. The two remaining children came to Texas to be with family and were placed in an orphanage. The girl was my g-grandma Emma and the little boy we've lost touch with. My goal is to find and locate all the family that are connected to me and my children. If you can help please feel free. David S. Musick Sgt/USA. Ret
