Helen Ann Sheridan was the next child to James and Venira. She was born February 9, 1936, and married Patrick McCaffrey on November 21, 1959. They have six children: Denise, Carl, Christa, Michael, Molly, and Mark. Denise is the Lee County Circuit Clerk and is married to Attorney Rolfe Ehrmann. Christa is married to Bruce Lytle. Molly is married to Rich Blackburn. Jack Sheridan was born January 6, 1939, and married Helen Thomas August 20, 1960. They have three children. Patricia Sheridan was born May 23, 1941, and died the following year due to pneumonia at the age of nine months. She is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Maytown, IL. Thomas James Sheridan was born October 11, 1943. He married Kari Wright on October 24, 1964. They have one adopted daughter, Tara Lee Sheridan. Gerald (Jerry) Richard Sheridan was born January 3, 1947. On March 5, 1979, he married Joanne (Jo) Walter. Jo is the daughter of Orville and Margaret Groth Walter. Jerry is the chairman of the Lee County Democratic Party. Together they owned and operated the Walton Tap from 1986 until 2000. They have two children, the oldest being a daughter. Shelby Lynn formerly owned & operated Chuggers in Dixon, IL, and was born on July 12, 1970. Gerald Sheridan, Jr. (Jerry) owns and operates Foote's in Ohio, IL, and was born July 14, 1970. Jo has a daughter, Deborah Margaret Boyenga from a previous marriage. Deborah was born on October 5, 1953, and married George Thomas. She has a daughter, Tammy Jo Clowter, born on July 30, 1971. She also has a son named Zachary Lennon Thomas, who was born July 29, 1983. Elaine Marlene Sheridan was born June 8, 1950, to James and Venira. She married Daryl "Chuck" Zimmerly on August 23, 1969. They have three children: Angie, Duane, and Nicole. Back in the late 30s and 40s, Shirley remembers helping her grandma Mary Sheridan after her grandpa passed on. She would herd her milk cow and a couple of young calves to where the grass was near Route 26 just south of Maytown Road. She lived right here also in a one-room shack for many years. People by the name of Thompson live there now in a ranch-style home.
