I am reserching surnames below.
Herndon,Harmon,Holtzclaw,Kay,Elders,Smith,Linsley.
Arthmissa Smith married Samuel Elders,1858
they had a son George W. Elders born a year later.
Samuel died in the civil war in 1862 in SC where they lived.
George later married Susan Linsley,they had many children, one
being my grandfather Edward Falls Elders,married Cora Alma Harmon,Her parents were Charlie or Jacob Harmon and Alice Shepard.
I lose George and Susan when they buried a baby in Glendale SC
Cemetery in 1899.
Arthmissa, may have married a Roberson after Samuel died,but I have no proof of this.
John Holtzclaw, was born in GA but was married and raised his family in SC, Belton, Anderson Co. He was married to Mary A.
They had many children , one being my other grand father, Lemuel Henry Holtzclaw married Daisy Herndon, her parents were Margaret T. Kay and Mack Herndon. Margaret and Mack are buried at Belton cemetery,Belton. SC
