The History of Purity M. Ndereva of Meru did not come easy. Many hours and time were spent on the family research. Family reunions have not been that effective in this research because they are seldom held. Most of my research is based on questionnaire method.
The research reveals that the great grand parents and the grand parents of Purity M. Ndereva of Meru came from more or less the same place and later as the years went by relocated to other areas, where they bought and owned land. The present living generation resides in the new places namely: Kithoka and Gatwe.
The only Living Grand parents of Purity M. Ndereva of Meru are:
Mother's side: Marion Kagutu M'Raibuni.
Father's side: Yusuf M' Amburugua and Helen Kinanu M' Amburugua.
Late M' Mutungi Kathuka M'Raibuni passed away in 1995. He died of Cirrhosis a disease caused by long abuse of alcohol. The disease interferes with the normal functioning of the liver.
Purity M. Ndereva of Meru is lucky to have seen her late great grand mother from her mother's side: Keeru.
