This started out as a high school project for Inbal Nechin. Students in Israel are required to develop a family tree. I helped out by interviewing relatives here. I got interested in the project, go Family Tree Maker, and just continued.

My ancestors on both sides (Nechin and Malmut) came from the Ukraine. Most of them arrived here in the late part of the 19th and early part of the 2oth centuries.

So far, my research has been limited to family interviews and the Ellis Island site. I am about to expand this to include the U.S National Archives.
