I was born in Zumbrota, Minnesota February 5, 1914. Attended grade school and graduated from High School in that city. Jointed the Minnesota Nationa Guard. Was inducted into Federal Servce February 10, 1941. Attend Officers Candidate School at Camp Lee and was graduated as a 2nd Leutenant Sept 25, 1942. Assigned to a QM Truck Regiment and left for overseas from San Francisco December 1942. Two year in the Persian Gulf Command transporting lend lease suplies to the Soviet Union. Reshipped to the European Theater January 1945, transported amunition and fuel to the First Army in Germany. Was shipped out of LaHavre France OCt 1945 to New Jersy compoleting a trip around the World.
Was assigned to a reserve unit and completed over twenty year so I was eligble for retire pay at age sixty two.
My father was of Swedish decent, have no information of family
back beyond his father and mother. My birth mother was of Norwegean decent and have family history back before year 1000.
I married Laura Charlotte Freij in 1947, daughter Nancy Louse and son Jeffrey Arthur.
My fathers father and mother were from Swen, have no family history of relative in Sweden. Mybirth mothers family were born in Norway. Have family history of them in Norway and have visited Relative in Norway three time. Attended a large famnily reunion in Norway with twenty six from the USA attending. One large familyu reunion in Fargo and many one large family reuion in the Unite States with many attending from Norway.
