Updated December 31, 2000

About Our Family Research

Our family came to Canada from Czechoslovakia via Scotland in 1957. My Grandfather was the president of the Czech Railway system, until the events of the second world war and the Russians who stayed on. My father (Jindra b. 1920 - Brno) escaped from Czecho in 1950 and re-found my mother (Mary Anne McGuigan King b. 1920- Douglas, Scotland d. 1994-Mississauga, ON, Canada).

In 1957, the family moved to Toronto, Canada. My brothers (Roderic Vaclav b. 1951 - Glasgow and Alexander (Sandy) Karl b. 1954 - Glasgow) and myself - Ian (Jindra) b. 1948 Glasgow all live in Canada now.
