I have researched my family history ,the Peanick's and the Davis's, all the way back to the 1600's, My Great, Great Grandfather was Jeremiah Penick, to Lamar, Mo.Because of a family dispute with his younger brothers, Alford , his oldest son changed the spelling of his last name to Peanick, and moved to Gray Summit, Mo.with his son Benjamin Franklin Peanick and wife, Sophia Melven Cobb, Benjamin was my Great Grandfather, his oldest son by a first marriage was Joesph Peanick who died in 1945, had 2 children, William D. Peanick, My Grandfather,and Louisa Melven Birkman, who lived in Boles, Mo. William married Esther Krumrey, had 9 children, Ruby, Dorothy, William, John, Alvin, James, Gorden, Mary Ann, and Diane, Dorothy is my Mother.Benjamin married Eliza Jane Davis from Mint Hill Mo. in 1899. The Peanick family's are decended from Edward Penick and Elizabeth born in the 1600's in ST. Peters Parish, New Kent ,Va. Also researching Owens, Wilcox, Marsh and Krumrey, Grandparents on other side.
