I've been working on my genealogy for a few years now. Most of my information can be supported by documentation, but it is by all means not perfect, and I'm sure many errors exist. The earliest ancestor I have found is John Nichols, who, according to other's researchers information, was born in Colonial Virginia around 1697. I believe most of the information on him comes from his will and Colonial records of land granted to him by orders of the Council of Virginia in 1743 or 1744. I have separated my reasearch into my paternal and maternal lines, and therefore have uploaded two GedCom files. I am always eager to find new information and am willing to share what information I have. If you have any additional information on the individuals in my research, or if you can correct any errors you find in my information, please contact me by email at brenda.nichols@dowjones.com.
