I have been researching my family history for a few years now.
I was born in Plymouth,Devon and the surnames I am researching from Plymouth and Devonport include:PERKINS,AYRES, and AXWORTHY. Other Devon surnames include NICHOLLS and FOGWILL from Slapton.
In Cornwall, I have many lines originating from the village of Polperro (Lansallos and Talland)including the surnames ROOSE,COATH (COUTH) and HITCHENS. In the Truro area I have MEWTON,BATTEN,KEAST and CROWLE lines. From Mawgan-in-Pydar, WILLIAMS and COBELDICK. In St Cleer I have connections to the DANIEL family.
In Dorset, I have connections through a 3xGreat Grandmother to the the LANDER and CHINCHEN families of Langton Matravers.
Moving to Cheshire: the surnames JENNINGS and OKELL found in Chelford,Snelson and Great Warford. In Co. DURHAM I am struggling with the CAMPION surname found in Norton and Billingham,Durham.
In Scotland, I have SMITH and BIRNIE on the Isle of Islay. In Stirlingshire I have STEWART,ORR and LOGAN from the Drymen,Killearn and Kilmaronock areas. In Glasgow,I have BOWIE and YUILLE lines
