I have begun a family history. Little is known of many of the past ancestors, so information is being searched for the following know immediate relatives on whom there is slight information. Earlson Alexander Gordon Reid I have a birth certificate of my Grandfather Reid. He was born in Jamacia,West Indies in 1879. His mother was Mary Felicia Gordon and father was Alexander Bell Reid, listed as planter on sons birth certificate. The son came to Canada in the early 1900s, possibly around 1901-1905. Mother died in 1923 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mary Felicia Gordon Mother of Earlson ( know as Alexander) lived in Trelawney on a plantation. Her fathers name was John Gordon.Lived in Canada with son until her death. James Laird Born in Durham England in 1879. Died in 1937 at Crofton, British Columbia, Canada. Married to Edith Work in 1900, had one son, James Melville Laird. Possibly a member of the Royal Engineers who came to Canada in late 1800's or his father was a member of the Royal Engineers. Sangster family Alexander Sangster married Jane Largie Davidson. All their children were born in Scotland, some immigrated to Canada. George was the first when he was 19, came to Victoria, British Columbia. Several of the brothers and sisters also immigrated. My grandmother was one of their twin daughters, Mary. Her sister was Helen. Youngest child Archie and family came to Victoria in 1926.
