Hi:
Throughout my entire life I have been interested in family, past or present. The Nicholson family is proud of its Scottish heritage even though the bottom line proves that we have a solid Irish and English heritage, it is from this mix I search for the past, depending mostly on word of mouth from relatives, I love to search through the shoe boxes of old pictures which are truly worth thousands of words.
The reason that I am starting this record via a family tree is that I want to know more of myself, my past and to provide to my children/grandchildren their heritage and to provide them with the riches of family history which is so often lost to the passage of time.
To my family, I am now 60 years young and it is my desire to set in order the things which belong to my generation and to share with you the lessons of life, the treasures which are often found in family history; most precious indeed and worth the effort to search it out.
