About Our Family Research
This McLeod family originates from Scotland around 1750,intermarrying with the McCaskill and McInnis families. They first migrated to the Carolina's and then to Greene County, Mississippi around 1810. This Nichols family started out in Halifax Virginia in the 1600's and migrated to Smith County, Tennessee. The first Robertson family intermarried into the Nichols family in Halifax, Virginia. The second Robertson family lived in Breckinridge, Kentucky in the early 1800's and migrated to Stanley, Daviess County, Kentucky. Our current research is on finding out if these two Robertson families are connected.
