About Our Family Research

Family genealogy reasearch began with my maternal grandparents. William J. Fagan born in couinty Meath, Ireland (July 21, 1871) and Mary Trainor Fagan born in Glaslough, county Monaghan, Ireland (July 16, 1868). William was the brother of Leteshia Fagan Arnold, Christopher Fagan (wife=Anna Fitzgerald) and John Fagan (wife=Annie Pauline Johnston). All three siblings were born in Ireland. Leteshia's husband John Henry Arnold was born in Germany. Mary Trainor Fagan was the sister of Joseph Trainor and Owen Trainor who were also born in Monaghan county, Ireland. All of the Fagan's plus Mary Trainor Fagan emigrated to USA setteling in upper New York state in the 1880's except John Fagan who emigrated sometime prior to 1942. Leteshia Fagan Arnold and her husband John Henry Arnold were the parents of William, Henry, Simon, John and Anna Arnold. All were born on their farm on Old Niskayuna Rd. Colonie, NY. Christopher Fagan had no children. William and Mary Fagan had four boys Joseph, William, John, and Francis, and one girl Anna. John Fagan's family did not emigrate.
