  Albie's grandparents, Aleksander & Helen Nitowski of Duryea, PA, at their 50th Wedding Anniversary, Labor Day, 1962. Aleksander came to America on January 22, 1910 as an 18 year old boy. Helen was born in Duryea, PA. Aleks(1-8-1892 to 2-15-1973). Helen (2-26-1895 to 7-17-1965).

  My father, Al Nitowski. The youngest of 12 children, his brothers called him the "Boss." Dad contracted Analplastic Thyroid Cancer, a virulent disease. He died as he lived, strong in his faith in the Lord. He visited family with me in Natrona, PA in June 2000, the first of our family to do so in 50 years.
