The Nolans of Philadelphia at St. Anne's

Updated March 29, 2004

About Our Family Research

Ancestor James Nolan and spouse Bridget Gaul Nolan arrived Phila. from Liverpool on Ship Garrick on Jan. 12, 1850, from Kilmacow Parish, Co. Kilkenny. Kilmacow was divided in 1842 into Mullinavat. Children of this couple were born in both parishes. Michael, Ellen, Mary, Bridget, William, Patrick & Catherine all born in those two parishes in Ireland. They lived in St. Anne's Parish in Phila., and John, Margaret, Sarah Ann, and James Patrick were born at St. Anne's.

My Ancestor in this group is Michael. I have information on some but not all of these ancestors, down to the present day.

I am looking for the place and date of birth of James and Bridget as well as their parents. My estimate is that James was born C 1808 and Bridget C1817. They were married in Kilmacow in 1835. Both died in Philadelphia, Pa. James in 1876 and Bridget in 1870.
