Currently looking for information on Elizabeth Gist/Gest.
I could use help from other researchers to figure out what family my Elizabeth belongs to. I’ve been searching for her family for years! I’m open to any information or suggestions you might have. Any help would be appreciated!
Could she be a sister to Thomas O. Gist?
My Elizabeth is said to have Cherokee lineage. According to census records her father was born in KY and mother born in TN.
Elizabeth L. J. Gist/Guess was born Feb 1832 in AL, and died Aft. 1900. She married Calvin Washington "Wash" Sr. Tyler Abt. 1850 in Probably Lawrence Co., TN. He was born Abt. 1827 in AL, and died Bet. 1874 - 1900.
