I am searching for information about my great, great, grandparents, John M. White reported to be from TN on the 1880 census (MO)and his wife, Mary A. Smith of KY (same census). Acording to 1880 census records, Mary's mother was Lucy T. Smith, age 55 from KY. They were reported to be living in Knoxville in 1870. Then they are found in the 1880 cesus in Jackson, Jasper Co., MO. They Had 4 children, George B. White, age 12,bn in TN.
Lucy A. White, age 11, bn. in TN.
John M. White, age 9, bn. in TN
Luly J. White, age 7, bn. in MO
I would like to find out who John(1)M. White's parents were and if they were from County Cork, Ireland. The middle initial M was said to be Monroe/Munroe for John (2). I do not know if it was the same for the John (1). In fact for the longest time we were told that his name was Marion, so that may be his middle name.
I would also like to know who Mary's father was and what her mother's maiden name was, so that I might go even further back with that line.
I have no information on George B. White, but would like more.
Lucy A. White was suppose to have been married to a man named Jonah Cambell/campbell and they moved to TX. They had 1 child that I know of,a son. I don't know his name, but he had 2 children, Lester and Caranola Cambell.
John M. White (2) was born 10/31/1870 in Knoxville,TN. He died in Los Angeles, CA. on 5/ 15/1943 of Pneumona. He was married at least twice having 2 families of children. He had at least one illigitimate child. Her name was Dolly.There were probably more. I don't know his first wife's name. I know that one of their son's name was Ernest. He died of bone cancer in the late fifties in Los Angeles, CA. He was married (?) to my grandmother, Hesteran Ellis, nee Marker, bn. 8/31/1884-died in 1959 of stomach cancer, around 1907-8. They had 5 children:
Minnie Opal White, bn 7/5/1908, married, Joseph A.Andrade in the early 1930's. They had one child, Joseph, Jr. She died in a fire 8/29/58. She would have died from terminal cancer.
Georgia Elizabeth White, born 5/13/1915, in Springfield, MO. married twice. Her first husband was Ralph Harrison Rippeto.
They had 3 children:
George Harrison Rippeto, June 13, 1931, still living
Robert Lee Rippeto, changed to stepfather's name Adam., bn. 1/26/33. Still living
Carol J. Rippeto, bn. 10/21/34 still living.
This marriage ended in divorce in 1936.
Married Jack C.Adam 9/28/1940.They had 2 children;
Everitt C. Adam, born, July 25,1940, still living
Victoria A. Adam, born 3/7/1943, still living
Stella Gertrude White, bn. 12/5/1917. married 2 times died 2000.
Lucy Lurene White, bn1/4/1920, married at least 2 times, died 1990's of breast cancer.
John M. White (3)bn.,9/24/1922, died jn 1990's.
