The geneological survey of the Nuckolls family in America is an ongoing project spanning 100+ years, and archived in a half-dozen books, some catalogued by the U.S. Library of Congress and made available thru inter-library loan. In short, our family moved to the New World (namely the Colony of Virginia) some 350+ years ago from Yorkshire, England, led by three mercantile brothers: John, James, and William. James is our progenitor. As of the day of this entry, my only (and older) brother, Samuel Edward, called from Turkey and stated he was standing in the middle of what is generally believed to be the Ark of Noach.
