I am attempting to find more complete information before publishing my tree but, as a rule I love to communicate with possible family members and will share information.
I believe all family members should be well documented and verified before thrown out for the world to take as truth!
Each and every line I am searching for has been a test of patience and a wonderful adventure.
I am researching NUNLEY, NUNNALLY ( AND VARIATIONS) MARTIN, HATFIELD, WOODS, WEAVER, WALTERS, WALTER, WILSON, WILLIS, HUGHES, SMARTT, AKIN. ( With tons of other lines mixed in.)
I am a cherokee, powhatan, chickamauga, irish, pennsylvania dutch woman. ( I'm laughing while typing this because.. well it's funny to put it that way!!) I am a proud member of a cherokee tribe here in Ohio. ( No, not sanctioned by the american government.. but smiled on by the creator.) I have proven to myself that I AM indeed an american indian... I DO NOT need the government to tell me that I'm 1/8 or 1/16 or that I have a droplet of American Indian blood. I KNOW. I can feel it pulsing through my veins, OH and I have the genealogy to prove it to. :0)
My family lines are as so..
Starting in Virginia and the Carolinas.. moving to Kentucky then on to Ohio. ( running from the Trail of Tears more or less)
