I'm researching the Nunez family as far back as I can. My great-great grandfather settled in the Florida panhandle in the late 19th century and helped found the Pensacola Bar Pilots Association. His descendants spread throughout the state, from Jacksonville to Polk County as well as Tallahassee, Panama City and Pensacola. If you have any knowledge of the family, please share. Other surnames of interest are the Nunezs of Winter Haven, Haines City, Belleview, and Lakeland, FL, the Nunezs of Saratoga Springs and Schenectady, NY, the McConnells of Springfield and Luray, VA, the Stringer family of Youngstown, Ohio, the Palmer family of Tallahassee, FL, the King family of Jacksonville, FL and the Link family of Cocoa Beach, FL. My grandfather, George Tierso Nunez, was a CPA in Bartow, FL, and Lakeland, FL; he passed away in 2002. My father, Charles Tierso Nunez is a retired CPA, also in Lakeland; his firm is still practicing with the remaining partners, and growing, with offices in Lakeland, Winter Haven, and Sebring, FL.
