To my understanding, my grandmother and I am the last Nyman of my particular family tree. The name Nyman is a shortened version of the Slovak name Najmowicz. I know little about my ancestory since my grandmother (whose maiden name was Musinsky) married into the family and was left a widow after three years of marriage with two small children to raise. The baby girl died as an infant and the boy, my father, died in 1989. I wish to trace my paternal roots back to the "Old Country."
