The John M. and Nellie E. Oakleafs of Springfield, Ohio

I am interested in finding out information about the Oakleaf family from Springfield, Ohio. My grandparents were John M. Oakleaf and Nellie Madden Oakleaf. His mother was Margaret Faha (or Fahey) Oakleaf and his father's name was Charles Oakleaf. My grandmother's parents Peter and Mary Madden were from Ireland and stayed in Springfield, Ohio.
I know that John had relatives in the Michigan area because my dad, William Oakleaf, was born in Grand Haven 11/18/13 while visiting relatives. I really have very little information as my grandparents were divorced in the 1920s? and John moved away never to be heard from again. This was a pretty big deal back then especially since they were Catholics.
I think the Fahas may have been from or moved to Iowa. I did find out that Charles Oakleaf's parents were Jacob and Rosanna Oakleaf. They were from Bavaria and supposedly a teacher changed the children's name from Eichenlaub to Oakleaf when they attended school. Charles was born in Wisconsin and died in Iowa.
