I have found that the Obertini Family is really The royal De Este family of Italy...The original name was Obertini De Este....
meaning the long road of Obertini.And has a long line of holy Roman Emperors,with Spainish royal lineage also, France and England from Authur Pendragon to King Henry 8th whom was married to a Aquataine of Spain his first Queen whom luckily escaped the block....So somewhere in the last century BC Obertini
was dropped then De Este appeared only..interesting..and to con firm this, I was making a purchase in a book store and handed the cashier my credit card..he looked at my name and repeated it
and said to me in a Swiss Italian accent'(Whom is from the same region in Italy) "Your a Obertini?" Your family is well known and is a very old Royal family! He asked my grandfathers first name and said that he could tell by his name for certain interesting and weird from out of the blue.... So hope this helps your research better...Deborah Obertini
